She is excited to lead a team of content experts and organizers at Health Care Without Harm to work with health care institutions and health professionals across the country to promote sustainable food systems. When she’s not working, Emma spends her time creating an urban food forest in her backyard in Portland, Oregon.

Nancy is passionate about empowering individuals and communities, and ensuring equity to improve quality of life. She is an appointed member of the Philadelphia Food Policy Advisory Council and a member of the board of directors for the Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger. She is also an adjunct professor at Delaware Valley University, where she teaches food security and food sovereignty.

Shanda is a nurse with a green thumb. From bedside cardiac nursing to serving as assistant nursing professor, she has worked to help health professionals and students see the natural and built environments as determinants of health. Shanda hails from Minnesota, where she spends her spare time growing, cooking, and eating good food to fuel miles of active transport on the roads.

Keith has been passionate about sustainability since graduating from college. His dedication to sustainability is rooted in his love of the outdoors and his understanding that we live in a closed loop system. Hiking, cycling, kayaking, paddle boarding, surfing, and any chance to be in or on the water are activities that bring him great happiness. He also enjoys being the head coach of a high school girls lacrosse team, running his nonprofit summer sports camp for visually impaired and blind children, writing songs, recording, mixing, producing, and playing music.

She is passionate about helping partners persevere on their sustainability journey. On the partnership engagement team, Kate manages California and other regional facilities. Kate was born and raised in the Olympic National Park and resides in central Washington. She enjoys experimenting with plant-based recipes, exploring the outdoors, and chasing her son.

John has been in the sustainability field for over a decade, and most recently at Harvard University’s Office for Sustainability, where he helped advance their healthier building materials program. John earned an MBA and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, and he graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in molecular and cellular biology. At the start of his career, he worked as a cancer researcher at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. John is excited to be advocating for his two passions: sustainability and public health.

Josh works to build a zero emissions, climate resilient, and more equitable health care sector.
