From her former cardiac nursing unit to academia to health organizations across the country, Shanda has led systems to embed sustainability into operations and culture. Armed with a Doctorate in Health Innovation and Leadership, she serves as Affiliate Faculty at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, is published in multiple academic journals, and presents internationally about climate action in health care. Shanda lives in the Sangre de Cristo mountain range in Crestone, Colorado.

John has been in the sustainability field for over a decade, and most recently at Harvard University’s Office for Sustainability, where he helped advance their healthier building materials program. John earned an MBA and a Master of Environmental Management from Duke University, and he graduated from Johns Hopkins University with a B.S. in molecular and cellular biology. At the start of his career, he worked as a cancer researcher at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. John is excited to be advocating for his two passions: sustainability and public health.

He supports health care organizations in implementing plant-forward menus, and in reducing food waste through source reduction and donation. Josh works to build a zero emissions, climate resilient, and more equitable health care sector. Her background is in biochemistry and chemistry, followed by over 15 years in academia researching environmental pollution.
