(Transportation toolkit) Gasoline-powered vehicles are major sources of greenhouse gases (GHGs), smog-forming compounds, particulate matter, and other air pollutants. Widespread use of alternative fuels and advanced vehicles, including plug-in electric vehicles (PEVs) can reduce the emissions that impact our air quality and public health. Employers are well-positioned to install non-residential charging where it is needed most, as PEV drivers park their cars at the workplace for 6.5 to 8 or more hours a day.

Hazardous waste is generated from many sources, ranging from industrial manufacturing process wastes to batteries and may come in many forms, including liquids, solids gases, and sludges.
EPA developed a regulatory definition and process that identifies specific substances known to be hazardous and provides objective criteria for including other materials in the regulated hazardous waste universe.

Hudson Hospital & Clinic successfully implemented a paper use reduction initiative and enhanced recycling program, which became a building block to ongoing organizational performance improvement. Since 2010, Hudson Hospital and Clinic achieved a median recycling rate of 37.60 percent of total hospital waste.
