A public health nurse by training, Kasey completed her doctoral studies in health innovation and leadership at the University of Minnesota School of Nursing, focusing on planetary health, global nursing leadership, and health care design. She previously held health care innovation and design roles at the American Nurses Enterprise and Ariadne Labs, as well as roles spanning health care, public health, and nursing education, and has been involved in local, national, and international climate advocacy efforts. She lives just south of Boston and spends her free time volunteering for a local Commission on the Status of Women and watching her daughter discover the world with awe and wonder.
