Patel (she/her) is a clinical associate professor of pediatrics at Stanford School of Medicine and executive director at the Medical Society Consortium on Climate and Health, which represents 56 major medical societies and 29 state clinician groups who work to advocate, communicate, and educate on climate change as a crisis of public health. She is also a member of the executive committee for the AAP's council on environmental health and climate change, and a board member for Our Children's Trust and Undaunted K12. Patel is a former Presidential Management Fellow with the EPA. She has been published in the New York Times, LA Times, and Bloomberg News, and is frequently interviewed for her expertise on climate change and wildfires for national publications and news programming.
