Bio

Schoen (she/her) is a community radiologist at the University of Michigan, Climate and Health Fellow at Health Care Without Harm, and Climate and Health Policy Fellow at the University of Colorado. She is founder and chair of Radiologists for a Sustainable Future, part of the Health Care Without Harm Physician Network. Schoen is a member of several radiology society sustainability task forces including the Radiological Society of North America, Association of Academic Radiology, and American College of Radiology, where she serves as co-chair. Schoen served as a guest editor for the Journal of the American College of Radiology's special issue on Planetary Health. Her national presentations and publications address critical issues like the environmental impact of medical practices and strategies for building more sustainable radiology departments, highlighting their expertise and leadership in driving environmental advocacy in health care.
