This session will provide Practice Greenhealth partners with a forum to share their experiences developing data baselines, creating goals, and establishing successful sustainability strategies. Facilitators will guide participants through a series of interactive exercises on developing cascading goals in alignment with your organization’s mission and establishing data baselines for securing leadership support. Partners will share strategies and tools, resources, and technology they have used to establish performance measures and manage this information.

To get the most out of this series, we strongly suggest that if you attend an introductory session held early in the week, you also attend the corresponding discussion forum held later the same week. Attending the introductory session is not a prerequisite for participation in the discussion forum.

Bio

Kristen is a Sustainability Strategy Manager at Practice Greenhealth, where she advises hospitals and health care systems on their sustainability programs and supports place-based initiatives. Prior to Practice Greenhealth, Kristen worked in urban and institutional sustainability, most recently at Tufts University's Office of Sustainability managing zero-waste, community engagement, and environmental justice efforts. She holds a Masters of Science in environmental governance from the University of Oxford and a BA in anthropology and sustainability from Emory University.

Christopher has been working in health care sustainability for over 12 years. Christopher has deep expertise in the topics of chemicals, greening the OR, food, climate, energy, transportation, water, sustainable procurement, green buildings, and leads the work on health care waste and plastics for Practice Greenhealth. His focus is measuring sustainability in the health care sector through data to drive meaningful outcomes for people and the planet. Christopher owns a circular economy consulting and manufacturing firm that recycles medical plastics into sustainable products. Christopher was named to GreenBiz’s 30 under 30 list for 2018.
