Join Christopher Bodkin, Lauren Kleinman and Janet Howard to learn about the updates to the Less Waste challenge, and then to ask questions for all things data! Learn how to navigate and enter data on the Institute for Health Care Improvement (IHI) extranet and set up viewing rights with Energy Star Portfolio Manager.

Christopher's role at Practice Greenhealth is to help the sector become more sustainable through data collection, analysis, and reporting. He works with Cecilia DeLoach Lynn on the Sector Performance team to create dynamic metrics and data parameters to maximize both, accessibility of data, as well as what can be learned. Christopher's vision is to create a circumstance where metrics are aligned with fiscal and social responsibilities in the health care sector as to naturally incentivize leaders to become more sustainable. Christopher oversees the Healthier Hospitals data collection and reporting as well as creates content and reports around data. Christopher is also a co-founder of Blu2Green, which is a medical plastics recycler and sits on the board of the Kearsarge Food Hub, which aggregates local and sustainable foods in New Hampshire.

Janet Howard directs Practice Greenhealth's Member Engagement and the development of guidance documents, content, educational opportunities and a community of sharing best practices for the over 1,000 health care members. She also directs the free Healthier Hospitals program, a free program for those just getting started on environmental stewardship. Janet pioneered environmental interventions in health care from 1991-2004 for Continuum Health Partners in New York City. She is a frequent writer on health care sustainability issues for outlets like Greenbiz, CSR Wire and Health Care Design Magazine. Lauren Kleinman, MA, MENR, Outreach Specialist, Healthier Hospitals, lkleinman@practicegreenhealth.org

As the outreach specialist of Healthier Hospitals at Practice Greenhealth, Lauren focuses on expanding enrollment in HHI for hospitals, health systems, and other similar organizations through strategic marketing and recruitment. Prior to joining the HHI, Lauren worked for The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center as an Administrative Manager in the Pharmacy Department. During this time, she simultaneously completed her dual Masters degrees in Environment and Natural Resources and Public Policy.
