{Past Event} - Next Generation Energy Procurement

April 13, 2007 - 2:00 pm - April 13, 2007 - 2:00 pm -- Eastern Standard Time

Once you’ve done all you can to reduce energy consumption, what more is there? A lot. We’ll introduce Health Care Without Harm and H2E’s new Healthcare Clean Energy Exchange, an energy price reduction, reverse auction web-based group purchasing program. It bundles cost containment, renewable energy, renewable energy credits, carbon offsets, and educational services. Learn How you can participate in the Health Care Clean Energy Exchange Program. Learn how the State of Maryland saved $5,000,000 on a $65 million energy spend, and got 5% renewable energy included at no premium. A New York State RFP, which included several VA Hospitals, saved more than $1.6 million in the last 11 seconds of their auction.

World Energy, HCWH and H2E have created the Healthcare Clean Energy Exchange (HCEE). HCEE provides healthcare organizations with access to clean power, renewable energy certificates, and (eventually) natural gas bundled with carbon offsets through our on-line, real time reverse auctions. Suppliers bid downward to be your healthcare facility’s energy supplier. Multiple simultaneous auctions with different terms, targets, etc. typically save facilities 6-12% on their energy costs, plus web-based automation saves weeks of procurement’s staff time. HCEE’s fully Sarbanes Oxley compliant transparency enables you to compare multiple bids, second by second, from 0% clean energy up to the desired level of clean energy, and manage clean power premiums, if any. The auction can also help lower natural gas costs, reducing the incentive to burn dirtier fuels such as oil. Find out if you qualify to be one of the HCEE pilot sites.
