Al Manshum is the Vice President of Facilities and Construction for Advocate Health Care. He has devoted his 16 year career to the planning, design, construction and management of healthcare projects. Throughout his career he has played diverse roles on projects involving patient care units, ICUs, surgical suites, cardiovascular services, imaging, cancer care as well as many other healthcare projects. Over the last four years he has led the development of a $200 Million, 192 bed expansion at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and has recently stepped in to lead Advocate’s Planning, Design and Construction Department.

York Chan has been directly involved in the progressive management of health facility operations for the past 30 years. He has done work for Illinois Masonic Medical Center, Ravenswood Medical Center and Trinity Hospital and Medical Center. York has been responsible for managing multiple campuses of 18 buildings, 1.6 million square ft., including the only “Energy Star” labeled hospital in Chicago. York is a Certified Health Facilities Manager (CHFM) and has participated in eleven Joint Commission and 3 CMS surveys.
