{Past Event} - Data 101 Series: Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Emissions Data Tracking and Goal Setting

December 13, 2017 - 3:00 pm - December 13, 2017 - 4:00 pm -- Eastern Standard Time

Topic

One of the most complex pages to our awards program is the Climate page. Many health systems do not yet understand how to utilize tools such as ENERGY STAR Portfolio manager to track their Scope 1 and 2 emissions, and only 22% of award applicants reported doing a GHG audit as part of a baseline process.

Join us to learn more about available tools for GHG baseline data tracking, new resources, and recommended targets from Practice Greenhealth to get started on this journey. Daniel Kreeger, the Executive Director with the Association of Climate Change Officers will share how other sectors have tackled this, and two health systems will present on their process of goal setting, data tracking, and how they’ve made progress towards those goals.

Learning Objectives

  • Introduce Practice Greenhealth membership to the new GHG reduction goal and educational materials.
  • Learn from other health systems about how they set GHG goals, track data, and make progress towards those goals.
  • Learn why reducing GHGs are important to meeting the mission of health, and how to sell that to your leadership.
