Thinking 'Green' Award Sends 100 Trees to India

A grove of 100 trees is being planted in honor of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital by local families determined to save their homes and way of life in Tiruvannamalai, India -- a country devastated by deforestation and global climate change.

The trees will be planted in appreciation of Lutheran General Hospital's commitment to reducing its operational impact on the environment and its recent national recognition as recipient of the Practice Greenhealth Partner for Change award. The award recognizes facilities that are helping to create healthy, healing environments.
