The Greenhealth Academy Sustainability Training series comes to Houston on November 4, 2010 and will be paired with a short tour of the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston’s new LEED Gold School of Nursing. Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available for attending. Includes breakfast, lunch and breaks.
Participants in this one-day class will walk away understanding:
- The primary drivers for sustainability in healthcare;
- How to set up an internal infrastructure to manage sustainability initiatives, including job responsibilities, team building, and internal engagement mechanisms;
- Personal leadership skills for integrating sustainability including influence without authority, understanding organizational culture change and change management 101;
- How to develop a sustainability baseline and tips for developing goals and organization-specific priorities;
- An introduction to the “sustainability spectrum” in healthcare;
- An overview of the sustainability tools and resources at your fingertips across the sector.
