Lac-Mac Surgical Gowns are validated for 75-125 uses before being downgraded for alternate use. Our Level 4 surgical gowns offer high-performance, liquid-proof, viral-proof protection. We also offer lower levels of protection in Level 3 and Level 2 liquid-resistant gowns. Levels of protection are in accordance with AAMI PB70 Standards and meet FDA regulations as a medical device.
Reusable surgical gowns can reduce environmental waste by 99% when compared with disposable gowns. Choosing our products, which are SEWN CLOSE TO HOME reduces carbon emissions when compared with disposable products. Disposable products shipping from off-shore in a single container ship can generate in one hour, the equivalent air pollution of 350,000 cars. All non-essential packaging has been removed from our products and we ship in in 100% recycled cardboard cartons which have been printed using non-toxic inks. Our products have been recognized by the Recycle Council of Ontario for their sustainability. We were awarded Gold level in 2008 and Platinum in 2009.
