For itchy, irritated skin, Aveeno Soothing Bath Treatment is made of 100% pure natural colloidal oatmeal - an ingredient long recognized for its ability to relieve itching - that AVEENO® mills into an ultra-fine powder. When dispersed in water, this powder forms a soothing milky bath that works as a natural cleanser to provide temporary skin protection and relieves irritation and itching due to poison ivy/oak/sumac, rashes, insect bites, and eczema. AVEENO® has partnered with TerraCycle, a New Jersey company, to upcycle the used tubes into new products that will be available at major retailers in the US.
How does it work? Consumers join ""brigades"" by collecting the used tubes and sending them to TerraCycle. TerraCycle cleans the tubes, uses them to manufacture things like bags, backpacks, and bows, and donates 2 cents per tube to the non-profit organization or school of the Brigade's choice.
