SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener

SPLENDA® No Calorie Sweetener (introduced in 1999) contains sucralose (SPLENDA® Brand Sweetener), the no calorie sweetener with no unpleasant aftertaste. It can be used virtually anywhere sugar is used, like cooking and baking. In 2008, McNeil Nutritionals L.L.C introduced SPLENDA'S® 'Out of Box' design. The new packaging delivers a win for the environment via the significant reduction of materials into the waste stream, but it also utilizes packaging to aid consumers in differentiating between the Splenda packet and granulated product forms, reduces display damages and returns, and maximizes the cost value to Trade Accounts and ultimately the end consumer.
The new packaging reduces pouch film, eliminates the take home paperboard outer container, and utilizes fewer pallets in storage and distribution. There is approximately 50% reduction in material weight (pouch film, corrugate, and wood pallets), and total annual weight reduction of 375 tons (reduction in the energy to store and ship product).
